Journey to Bhutan

Day 1

Arrive to Paro airport. Drive to Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan in 1 hr of journey.

Relaxing evening and walk through the hustling and bustling city

Day 2

Travel to Punakha and visit Chimi Lhakhang built in 1499, this Buddhist monastery features a statue of Lama Dukpa Kunley known as Divine Madman. Known as Temple of fertility where couples come and pray for the blessings of the divine mad man to have children.

Visit Punakha Dzong which stands magnificent in between two rivers pho chhu and Mo chhu.

Day 3

Travel to WangduePhodrang about an hour drive from Punakha. Visit to the Wangdue Dzong which is in its completion phase. The 374 years old Dzong was gutted down by fire in 2012.

Travel to Phobjikha where one can witness the breath taking view of the beautiful valleys of Gangtey and phobjikha which is also the winter home of the black-necked cranes.

Day 4

Travel back to Thimphu

Walk around the town and enjoy the night life of the city.

Day 5

Travel to Paro. Hike to Taktshang (Tiger Nest)
